random question,
did anyone in this tribe leave the JWs for a different religion in Christendom?
or is everyone individually spiritual, with their own non denomination beliefs ?

Fuckin' a. I, myself, am a nonreligious deist. I believe in God, but I don't worship or pray or go to church. I think that God would prefer that I spent my time doing things that are more fun.

Wed, November 7, 2007 - 8:29 AMi somehow didn't think that anyone in this tribe 'accepted jesus into their heart' and went to worship at their local Baptist Church -

Re: what now?
Wed, November 7, 2007 - 9:57 AMNo Way! I think Jesus was probably Buddhist anyway so there ya go.
I'm a spirtiualist, not a religionist. -

Re: what now?
Wed, November 7, 2007 - 1:55 PMby saying ''accepted jesus into their heart'' i was referring to the popular way of 'becoming christian' that i saw in the baptist, anglican and other churches i visited when i was trying to figure out where i belong and what i believe in.
i agree with you *B*, when I read 'jesus lived in india" it changed my guilt into understanding

Re: what now?
Wed, November 7, 2007 - 11:53 AMYou know, it's interesting that you should say that, because my cousin (who was "born in the truth" Like me), ended up becoming a Lutheran. Not a very serious one, I think he just thought it was a Christian sect that would allow him more time to pursue secular activities like getting an education and becoming wealthy. Instead of going to meetings three days a week and then going out in service (my uncle was an elder, it was doubly hard for my cousin). He was right. About the having more time thing.

Thu, November 8, 2007 - 8:44 PMB said it well, "I'm a spirtiualist, not a religionist." I have nothing to do with the Bible and organized religions are corrupt. -

Re: what now?
Wed, November 28, 2007 - 2:33 PMFor the last couple years I went to meetings, I was an atheist. I loved the people, and the meetings etc. I liked to comment alot. I guess I was a hypocrit.
Finally I married a baptist girl. I got dfed for joining the Navy. Now I am Agnostic.
I learned about Archetypes in highschool. Studied a little about Joseph Campbell and Carl Young.... I had and still have a real hard on for different cultures. When I Found out that every culture and religions is more or less the same ol story, that's when I became an Atheist.
Now that I am a little older and wiser, I have to admit, that, this doesn't mean that there is no god. But it also doesn't leave much proof that there is one either. After all if there is a God, who created all that we know..... then wouldn't it make just as much sense, that something/someone had to create him? So I am hardcore Agnostic. lol -
